    Adam-
In reference to Greg the Canadian’s comment, I’ll echo what you said, if you want something brand new tech wise you’re going to pay through the roof for it. That’s how it works with everything tech. Greg don’t get your undies in a bundle over something that anyone could have told you, this was going to happen the minute they released the iPod Photo. Greg if you would have briefly studied the history of tech electronics ESPECIALLY any thing in the ever volatile digital music arena. This should be no reason to be mad at Apple. If anything your frustrations should be toward your own lack of patience. Take this as a lesson learned for future purchases. If you want to save money wait for the initial buy period to wear off PARTICULARLY if the release is around the holidays! That’s when everyone wants to make the most money. It all stems from a little idea called capitalism. Good luck in future purchases, may your patience grow and you savings increase!

What i want to know is, since the 40 gig is gone, if mine breaks and they cannot repair it (i have the service plan) will they give me a 60 gig? or a 30gig? (i hope nothing smaller) or do you think they some 40 gigs in reserve for this reason?

This is in response to the listener who was upset that he bought a 60GB iPod before the price drop.

Remember though.. the ‘new’ 60GB only comes with Earbud headphones, AC adapter and a USB 2.0 cable.

So you have the AV cable, a firewire cable and and a case(do you?).

Add it up, it might not be that far off what you paid for yours.
