COMMENT RE DVD BACKUP
I also have seen the problem with DVD Backup not working on Tiger. Another program called Mac the Ripper seems to work on Tiger...or so I've heard ;)

Yo Adam,

Sorry to cause so much controversy with my comment which, unfortunately, tied in to your minor slip with the editing.

Five-hole -> The space between the Goalie Pads that a puck can be shot through to score a goal.

My Five-hole is huge, big enough for the Zamboni some games so when I sign off my thegreatwhitenorth.ca podcast I always say "Hey, stop lookin' at my five-hole!"

Nothing offensive, just a tagline that I use to try and promote the podcast.

Again, sorry for any misunderstandings, but, thanks for keeping the full comment. I love your family friendly format and as a father of a 10 year old boy myself I wouldn't have said my comment if I thought it would offend...

Heck, my kid even wears a Stop Lookin' at my Five-Hole shirt to school...

ah well, c'est la vie, eh?

Kyle

HEY, Stop lookin' at my Five-hole!

“Stop looking at my five hole”

Hey Adam, I love the show but I think you need to remember that you are the editor-in-chief over there. You could simply edit your caller’s responses to be more concise and remove any questionable material. I am not sure why you would intentionally air a listener’s comment that could be offensive to your audience or embarrassing to you as a host. You then spent portions of two shows wrestling with your decision to air this silly comment when it could have simply been edited out to maintain the flow of the show. I don’t think any of the listeners would disappointed if you edited listener feedback for relevance and time constraints.

Adam,

Great show, as always! I'm a bit surprised that you missed an edit on this one though. Very odd to hear that on a MacCast!

Thanks for continuing to keep us informed!

Hey Adam,

Just wanted to let you know that "Stop looking at my five hole" from Kyle at thegreatwhitenorth.ca podcast wasn't offensive. He's a hockey goalie, and it is a hockey term for the area between your legs; a good place to try to shoot the puck for offensive attackers.

Just thought I'd pass that along. Great show, as always!

Today on Adam Christiansen's MacCast (at least the episode to which I listened today) there was a comment from an executive from Motorola that the delay in the iTunes-enabled iPhone is not due to objections from mobile carriers. This seems...
