the fellow who had a problem booting Classic because he needed it to use his scanner. My suggestion is to use VueScan software which runs a bunch of scanners. It is not free but it works great in Tiger.

For journaling, I wonder if your listener could use <a href="http://www.eastgate.com/Tinderbox/index.html" rel="nofollow">Tinderbox</a>.

I've never used it, but I've read a little about it and read some blogs that use it. It's a little pricey, though, and may be overkill for what your listener needs.

Great news on the enhanced podcast. Looking forward to it. I actually emailed back and forth with Mitch a little on getting the Mac Cast enhanced feed working so hopefully he can pull it off!

Here are some more tools to help people create enhanced podcasts:

Podcast ChapterTool wiki: http://www.voxmedia.org/w/index.php?title=PodcastChapterTool

Podcast Enhancer Script: http://www.celerityfm.com/podcastenhancer/

Podcast ChapterTool XML Generator: http://www.celerityfm.com/podcastchaptermaker/

Adam,

I know that you said not to write anymore about Updating youripod. But you did not mention this workaround and I think that it works better.

Try this:
System Preferences
Keyboard and Mouse
Keyboard Shortcuts
Scroll down to Application Keyboard Shortcuts
Click the + to add a shortcut

Choose iTunes
Menu Title: Update iPod ---- No matter what your iPod’s name is ---
Keyboard Shortcut: Shift+Apple+U
Click on Add

Start Up iTunes and you should have a new Keyboard Shortcut for Updating your iPod

Hi. In your July 6th show, you mentioned a listener is looking for a journal-type program that can include audio. Take a look at Circus Ponies Notebook www.circusponies.com, a Mac-only app that does it all in the journaling world.

I use it. Haven't tried all the bells & whistles yet but I can see it will be very useful for blogging, journaling, you name it. You can insert all sorts of media into your journal docs. Hope this answers your listener's question!

Love the show. Keep up the awesome work!
One thing that could have been in the show is this July 7th media event... rumors about a Mac mini and possible Shuffle update abound :) There might even be a bit of substance to the mac mini update, as you can see here: http://appleinsider.com/article.php?id=1157 (scroll down a bit).

Although, I suppose since this is July 6th it's a bit late :P
