Take a look at the iComic dashboard widget:

http://www.ruxp.net/iComic/dashboard.asp

It uses plugins to give you access to a huge variety of comics.

Good review. I like that these widgets — and the comic behind them — are getting recognition. One problem, though. The screenshot is of the wrong widget! Try to replace it.

Thanks for the cool review Brett. :-)

Yep, like Tony suggests, we much prefer people to visit our site to view the comics. A widget that displayed the full comic would increase our bandwidth costs without a corresponding benefit, as Nitrozac and I derive the bulk of our income from ads and the sale of spin-off merchandise like propeller beanies. :-)

We also love it when fans do the JoyPoll, which is another way we can have a little fun with comic's subject matter. :D

Bret,

The reason you only see a subsection of the comic in the widget is because Nitrozac and Snaggy create a thumbnail for each comic that can be used a bit like a banner for putting on homepages, blogs, etc., and that is what Chad used for the widget. He's not actually pulling in the entire comic, just the thumbnail. With the way Snaggy has the GC site set up, I think it would be quite a bit more complicated to get it to display the whole thing. Plus I think Snaggy prefers that people use the thumbnail.
