My wife wanted the lanyard but nothing up here in Canada yet in regards to accessories. Not even a dumb rubber slipcase. So, the ipod socks are all she has for now. They actually work pretty good when storing your Nano in a bag.

I was disappointed with my black 4gb Nano. The design was great, but far more susceptible to scratches than any of the 4 other iPods I've owner. Apple advocates users buying protection for the Nano, but has a 5-6 week wait on Tubes. Shame on Apple for this. I traded in my Nano for a 20gb iPod Color...and I'm very impressed. It's more durable, and is easily protected in the iSkin I have for it. Plus, with all that space, I have much more room for archiving MacCast episodes. Keep up the good work, Adam. You rock.

I went to the Bridgeport Apple store today to look at Nano accessories that have been advertised. There were huge posterboards showing the Nano Lanyard and the multi-colored Nano Tubes, but not a single product available for sale. Honestly, what the %$@& is going on with Apple's new "come on down to our store and try to buy things that <i>we don't actually have yet</i>" sales strategy? Is it some cruel joke? Bad planning? Is there some sort of pusher/junkie relationship that I am waking up to?

I was checking out my friends iPod nano last night and had difficulty getting results from the center button as well. Is it supposed to be a touch sensitive button or is there a click? I couldn't tell since we were in a crowded movie theatre (before the show started). I love the small form factor and bright screen, but I'm thinking that a full sized iPod would be a better option for me.

I just bought my wife the black 4G ipod nano. I got her the Apple ipod socks to slip her nano in her purse. It will help to avoid scratches. I also added a screen protector. Fingerprints cannot be taken care of at all unless you have a case that the nano stays in all the time. The black finish is the same as my Sony PSP.

The one thing I noticed is the nano is very small for me. My fingers have a hard time scrolling and clicking the center button. Perfect for my wife, but not me. I'm sticking with my iPod Photo 30Gigger.

RE: PearLyrics...it worked very nicely. Found lyrics about half the time (of course I'm old as are my songs). It did pull the wrong lyics once. Same artist, but wrong song. A very nice add-on to say the least.

Regarding nano scratches. I own a black iPod nano and agree that it is prone to fingerprints and scratches being visible on the surface. I try and make sure I keep it in a pocket with no other items (such as coins) but over time it will get scratched, and the finger prints will always be there on a shiny black surface. I think Apple could solve this problem with the black nanos if they were to use the same material found on the black Motorola Razr. I own this phone and I must say that the black coating does not easly scratch or show any finger prints (unless you just finished eating french fries).

I think people are making WAY too big a deal about the nano issue. Lets look at the facts. Apple is PUBLICLY acknowledging the issue (unlike other problems) and they're offering free replacements. Yet still, the stock takes a big hit, it's the talk of the business news, and people are going ape shit over it. Lets get real people. Thus far, Apple has handled this fiasco EXTREMELY well. They didn't even name the supplier by name, which also shows class. All will be well in Nano land - please don't panic or spread Nano-negativity. It drives down my Apple stock :(

Hi,

Pearlyrics the program offers a feature to select a playlist and gather the lyrics and copy them to itunes. That will save you a couple of hours...

Be carefull, sometime it gathers the wrong lyrics and that will make you look foolish on your karaoke party :-)
