Tekserve Topples $60,000 Worth of iPod for Ad

Well that is one way to blow an advertising budget. This new ad for Tekserve, an independent Apple reseller in New York, used over $60,000 worth of iPods toppling domino style to make their point. I wonder if those had any screen protection? For those of you in the area the ads will be running on the giant Madison Square Garden LED displays at 33rd Street & 7th Avenue, from May 1st through July 30th.

OK, that was cool. I don’t think they would even be that badly damaged if they did have screen protection, but you still need all of them! Or, you need 100 fake ones and a few to show the screen on for real.

That was potentially the worst use of $60,000 I have ever seen in my life. The ad bored me and in no way enticed me to shop at that store.

am i the only one that thinks they’re the old ipods?
the first one does not look like the screen colors of a 5G ipod. and we only see the back of the rest of the ipods. also, there are edits in the ad. they could of used the same 15 ipods over and over again. if it was one long take id say ok thats kinda cool, but its not. also.. are there people talking in the background towards the end when the laptop opens?

    What a remarkably mundane story.
