Yet again Adam fishing for MONEY MONEY MONEY, if you can’t run it yourself, then quit adam, we are sick of you asking for money all the time. Podcasts are FREE, where in itunes does it say we need to pay? It DOESN’T

WOW. Yet again another post where you accuse me of something (wrongly) and don’t provide an email or any other method for me to respond to your allegations in private. You force me to use a public forum, like these blog comments. Well I’ll bite. If the show bothers you so much I really wish you would just unsubscribe. (Come on, it’s easy. Just click that little button, I’ll wait… Damn! Your still subscribed aren’t you?) You obviously don’t feel strong enough about your remarks to make them without hiding your identity. I honestly question your conviction in them. I suspect your real intent is to just “piss me off”. Well enjoy it. Now you can go back into your little hole until the next time I accept a generous offer from a supporter of the show. See you then.

    Hey Adam,

I just read the first reply…don’t let the trolls get you down. I’ve been listenting to your podcast for a little while now and love it. I look forward to hearing what you have to say each week. Keep up the good work.

The comment I have is with the rumored tablet Mac. What you described you thought it might be is similar to the (failed) Microsoft ‘Smart Monitor’ (I think that is what it was called). It was basically a touch screen monitor that you could walk around the house with and it would wirelessly be connected to your PC. It does sound cool, but I don’t think anyone bought it. Perhaps Apple could design it better to be more funtional and fun.

    Thanks

    Greg

Hey Adam, been listening to the show ever since iTunes introduced podcasting to the world.
You’ve got a great show, and I just wanted to give you a (couple of) thumbs up when I read that first post.

(The ‘thumbs up’ for you Adam, that is :))

    Hey Adam,

Just wanted to say a big thank you for doing the MacCast. It’s been such a help to me since I got my Mac, filled with handy tips and banter, and some great practical advice. Please don’t stop – and don’t let people like the first poster put you off.

Thank you very much again. Look forward to future MacCasts!

    Yours,

    W.

    Adam

Just another message of support for your work with The Maccast. I wouldnt miss it and over the years has been a great help to me.

Frankly I don’t know how you get the time to produce such a detailed and regular podcast, but I’m grateful for it.

As a consequence I haven’t felt the need to buy a mac magazine for quite some time – and that has saved me a lot of money. I for one wouldnt be bothered if you moved to a subscription base – I would certainly subscribe, but I hope that isn’t needed and you can continue to podcast to a wide audience.

    Hi Adam,
I read the first comment and all I can say is it is just bah, humbug. Another troll trying to upset you and failing. That’s free speech for you.
I love the show and subscibed to ScreenCastOnline through your suggestion and discount code and love that too. It also helped (a little I hope) to support your show.
I plan in the future on trying to make some sort of contribution if I am able as it is Podcasts like yours that go a very long way to helping the Mac community.
    Keep up the great work.

Thanks for all your hard work.

    Hello Adam,

It takes a huge effort to deliver over 160 episodes of the MacCast and for sure thousands of people enjoy each new episode.

Please don’t worry about some people just trying to destroy your commitment. For thousands of listeners who really appreciate the MacCast (and I am definetly one of them!) there are just a few who don’t like it. Well, you cannot have them all.

I recommend not responding to those messages anymore. Leave that to your listeners and enjoy their comments which are an excellent defence against occassional negative responses.

If it ever comes to financial contribution, for sure you will lose some listeners. But don’t worry, many of them understand your cost and are happy contributing a few dollars (or euros, in my case).

Hey Adam, I still love your show and you have all my compliments.
Keep on doing the good work. I’ll keep listening, whatever happens !

Very strange how you allow user to post comments that they “love” the maccast, but other users that have agreed with me, get their comments deleted! I wonder if this comment will get deleted!

Adam, your a chancer and if you can’t afford to fund your own hobbie then you know where you can go, into that dark hole!

  12. Keith | Dec 05 2006 - 09:52

    Adam,

I so appreciate your service to the Mac community. The information that is provided by your site and your Podcast are Priceless. Your time and resources need to be compensated. I totally support you in doing what ever you need to do to keep the site and Podcast going.

I too will keep listening and visiting!

    Get Rid Of…
Not a single message has been removed from these comments. If you have lack of support it is certainly not because of me.

  14. inaequitas | Dec 05 2006 - 10:04

Mate [‘get rid of maccast’] since you cannot raise any claim to fame of your own I’d suggest taking shop someplace else. Podcasts need not be free. If you don’t enjoy it, FOaD. You are under the impression that anybody needs to give a crap about your issues.

By the way, a lesson in education: private matters should be dealt with privately. If you want to make things public, expect to be crushed by others who can argue better than you. If you want to bitch, join a support group for your dysfunction.

  15. Hans | Dec 18 2006 - 11:23

So I was listening to this podcast (enhanced), and it stopped about half way through as if it were done. I haven’t been able to get past that point playing through, and if I skip past, it does the same thing. Am I alone in this problem?

Okay. Before posting this I played it in QuickTime, and right at 34:00 it goes quiet and the screen goes blank. That seems to continue until the end at 1:07:25.

  16. Hans | Dec 18 2006 - 01:42

Never mind. I did what I should have done in the first place, and I redownloaded the file, and that seems to play properly. (Though the original is still troubled.)
