I keep hearing about the cider project. I don't mind it really but is it an emulator? I can't see the developers making Mac versions of their software that will run slower than Windows. This is not such a spectacular thing from EA, if it's based on emulation. John Carmack's engine seemed more impressive and may have huge potential on the Mac if it's based specifically on OS X technology, which I'm not sure it is.
