A podcast about all things Macintosh. For Mac geeks, by Mac geeks. A special end of the year Maccast with guest J.C. Hutchins. J.C. normally would be telling sci-fi tales, but this time he delivers us a bit of non-fiction. His Macbook recently suffered a catastrophic hard drive failure and he was willing to come on the show and share what it was like to go through the experience without backup. There’s ups and down, twists and turns, but luckily a somewhat happy ending.

A podcast about all things Macintosh. For Mac geeks, by Mac geeks. Episode 059. Apple this week made some updates to it’s iTunes based social network service Ping. Around the same time I was preparing to give a talk on iTunes 10 and it’s new features. With the digital music stars aligning I figured it would be a good time to revisit my relationship with the service. In this episode I share what Apple’s changed and whether or not it’s made an impact on the utility of the service.
