I run without Flash installed on my Mac. I then use Browser Fairy (from http://www.catchingtales.com/osx/browserfairy/) on the Mac App Store. It allows you to define which browser to use when opening a site. So, I default everything to Firefox and then define Chrome as the browser for sites I visit regularly that I know need Flash.
