* Business 2.0 reports having an internal email from Disney in which they say Steve Jobs has been looking to license video content. This could include content from ESPN or ABC too.

* Monday will host a media event as part of its Annual Financial Analyst Meeting to introduce some of the company's latest products. The July 25th event is where Motorola will unveil "what's wow and what's now," .

* Rumors that Steve Jobs may make an appearance, possibly via satellite like last year.

wedge Apple planning clearance of old inventory via Overstock.com

* After successfully clearing old 60GB iPods, Apple plans to use Overstock.com again to liquidate old stock of "finished goods" stock of Mac minis, first generation iMac G5s and Power Mac G5 desktops.

* Ship times on Minis on Apple.com have slipped from 5-7 days which sometimes has indicated a product refresh.

* The "WORM_OPANKI.Y" worm spreads via AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) by sending a message to users that prompts a download of a so-called picture file. Once downloaded, the application appears as the iTunes download.

wedge Birthday reminders on Mac

* Listener Zack was looking for an offline solution to use on his Mac

* You can use ical and address book. In address book make sure your
contacts have birthdays entered. Then in iCal go to the preferences
and in the General tab check the box that says "Show birthday
calendar".

* You can also create a special "Birthdays" calendar in iCal. Add each birthday as an all day event and then set up alerts, including email notifications.

wedge Tip: Changing finder toolbar views

* Listener Alex noted that holding down the Apple(command) key + clicking the little silver toolbar "chicklet" in the upper right of the toolbar window will cycle through the different view options. i.e. Icons+Text, Icons only, Text only, etc.
