V MacRumors reports it also brought
* exFAT support. A Microsoft developed file system that works well for USB and other 'flash' based memory like SD cards. Started seeing support in Apple's macs with SD card slots. 10.6.5 brings that support to all Macs.
V Did have AirPrint in developer beta build, support but seemed to be removed from released version.
* Can hack back in the support, but you still need iOS 4.2 which isn't out yet.
* 134 security fixes, 41% Mac related, but also 41% related to Flash. 12% X11 and 4% server only (data from AppleInsider).
V Don't apply if your using PGP Whole Disk Encryption. Bug that may prevent your Mac from booting.
* If this info is too late for you there is a recovery procedure using the PGP Recovery CD.
* Check the PGP support site for details
V Apple also released Security Update 2010-007 for Leopard.
* Contains a number of security fixes and updates, including an new version of Adobe's Flash Player plug-in.
V iTunes 10.1
V Expected to be needed to support iOS 4.2 and the release notes confirm.
* Use AirPlay to instantly and wirelessly stream videos from iTunes to the all-new Apple TV.
* Sync with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.2.
* Provides a number of important stability and performance improvements.
V New 'Airplay' icon added, but Airplay isn't really new.
* Yes you can now AirPlay to the new Apple TV
* Isn't this just a 'push' vs. 'pull' change? My Apple TV can already browse and stream content from my Macs. We're just reversing the order.
V iOS 4.2 second gold master
* Many thought we would see the release this week
V Reports that a wi-fi bug was delaying release
* MacObserver points out, correctly, that the "delay" isn't really one since Apple only promised iOS 4.2 in "November"
V Was a new build release to developers that supposedly fixed the wi-fi bug.
* Labeled
V Jobs email says FinalCut update coming.
* Unconfirmed of course, but supposedly when asked via email Jobs responded
* "A great release of Final Cut is coming early next year."
