For Mac geeks, by Mac geeks. A special episode of the Maccast with David H Lawrence XVII. David is currently playing the role of the mysterious, somewhat creepy, and probably misunderstood, Eric "The Puppetmaster" Doyle on NBC's hit show Heroes. When he's not stalking cheerleaders David is also a new media creator and producer with an incredibly diverse background in audio broadcasting, video, the Internet, filmmaking, podcasting, and tech in general. In this episode we will learn about the man behind the man and the bonus is it turns out he uses a Mac.

A podcast about all things Macintosh. For Mac geeks, by Mac geeks. In this special episode of the Maccast I sit down with Avram Miller. Avram is a tech industry pioneer probably best known for his time spent at Intel where he helped cofound their venture capital arm. Through his work Avarm has been influential in shaping the face of many of the technologies we use and continue to develop today. Most notably Avarm Miller played a key role in the development of the cable modem and other broadband technologies. In 1984, while president of Franklin Computer Corporation, Avram and his team developed an Apple clone and challenged Steve Jobs & Co. over their right to produce and sell the product and bring it to market. Recently Avarm became a Mac switcher and I had the privilege to sit down with him and chat about his experiences, history, and this latest chapter in his tech life.

We take a look at the new Pulse Smartpen from Livescribe. Basically a computer in the form of a pen, the Pulse captures your writing along with recorded audio and lets you play it back on the pen or at your Mac after syncing using the Livescribe desktop software. The pen has other applications included and an API is available for developers so soon you will have a plethora of pen based apps to choose from. The Pulse Smartpen has been around for a while on Windows, but Macworld marked their launch on the Mac and it definately made it's mark.
