iPod earphones are good for what they do, but I just do not like earphones anyway - they can't isolate external noises which actually puts a lot of people in a subtly agitated state.

The best way to learn guitar is through videos. Its difficult to learn reading from books and charts. Through vidoes learning will be made easy as we can see how to handle the chords of the guitar.

This new setup is so frustrating. I have CD-Rs that can fit 700MB worth of songs which usually would fit around 18 or 19. Now it will only burn one song on a cd and I am no where near my capacity for the cd with on the playlist. Any advice?

Love your show. I teach in a PC world but have a Mac at home. At school I have Front Page to compose class websites and I've been trying to find an affordable alternative for the Mac. Your show today was perfect for me. I hadn't heard of most of the Web Design programs you mentioned, and I have done several Google searches for "Mac OS X Web Design." Thanks for all the options. I always find your show helpful and informative. Plus, I like your style. Thanks! Julie in Indiana

Adam, I see that there are now Mini Display Port to VGA and Mini Display Port to DVI adaptors in my local Apple Store. Not sure if that still prevents people from playing protected media over to a non-protected display though.

Just listened to this Mac Mini HTPC podcast - great information. I have a MAC based system (iMac with Drobo for filestore and 3 Apple TV's as clients and 2 airtunes setups for audio) plus an MCE system for TV recording (Quad digital tuner PC with 3 XB360 extenders). And I felt the inforamtion given on the use of powerline networking as a suitable way of wiring all the sources together was not accurate.

I use a 200MBPS Devolo based poweline system with an N wireless setup, all video goes via the wired system and I regularly have 3 clients streaming video (inc HD) across the network with 100% reliability and no packet loss or issues. These AV network devices support QOS for video and are really a superb way of setting up a wired home network with tout the disruption of chasing in CAT 6 everywhere!!!

ripitapp is 0 for 2 so far for me. It keeps telling me my disks are scratched or dirty. It has a point, but mac the ripper has no problem handling it. A shame because it seems to be pretty polished visually.

Hi Adam:

Regarding the guy who was asking about synching bookmarks between Firefox and Safari, one way to do it is to use delicious.com (just mark the bookmarks as not for sharing, where applicable). There are plugins for both Firefox and Safari, and by using delicious you can get at your bookmarks from any PC.

My online life is scattered over at least 4 computers, so it's a lifesaver for me!

Love the show, keep up the good work!

The 3 g iphone was a great upgrade for my E90 , though a little slower. And the lack of apps are astonishing , by comparison.
But the ease of use could not be better, tremendously simple and intuative.Just 3g not that fast anymore, when is the HSDPA versions coming out , now that would be perfect!

Google sketchup sure has become very popular. I understand there are some things missing but one noted CAD new type person said it is the best of all the CAD programs. Seems a little lightweight to me to do production work but definately work keeping an eye on.

I have a MacBook Pro and I do hook it up with my Plasma TV in our basement from time to time. My solution for the keyboard/mouse when I am sitting on my couch is the Bluetooth DiNovo Mini Keyboard. This thing is awesome because it combines a mouse and a keyboard in a small package that I can leave on my coffee table next to my remotes. Also this has an USB dongle as well to use it with other devices such as my Xbox 360.

Love the Show,

Last summer I decided to pick up a refurbished ?TV 160G for $239 rather that spend double on a Mac Mini. My content is 100% derived from Eye TV over the air TV. Just started using the Turbo USB to compress on my G5 but I do have problems on most exports to the ?TV setting. Elgato website promises a fix but it hasn't happened. Most of my content is HDTV from PBS and it compresses till the end when it eventually fails. Solution is to export in hi quality iPod setting, but if it is great quality show like Nature, I compress to ?TV without using the Turbo and that works fine but takes longer.
Best!
