* I had a full backup so I inserted the install DVD, ran the installer and rebooted.

* Ran Disk Utility. New features, need to choose Security options to do zero all data. New options for overwrite.

* Did a new install. Took approx. 30 mins.

* Product setup and registration. Set up my .Mac account.

wedge Used the Apple Migration Assistant to restore data from my Carbon Copy Cloner backup.

* Brought over all my documents, preferences, iPhoto Library, iTunes, Mail, Bookmarks, etc.

* Took a while to index. About 30 mins for my 30GB HD

* Fast, almost instantaneous results. Drop down displays the top 20 results most recently opened.

* Searches everything. Including inside documents, PDFs, MP3 ID3 tags, etc.

* Organized in categories. You can turn them on or off.

* Remembers the last search.

* If you use the window you can click the "info" button and get more details on the file.

* Image files can be displayed as a slideshow. Added to iPhoto viewed as thumbnails.

* Save searches as Smart Folders.

* Spotlight everywhere in the Open and Save Dialogs, system preferences, etc

* In the dock, you can also press F12 to display. Can be changed in the Expose & Dashbord system preferences.

* Calendar, clock, yellow pages, weather, etc.

* Can add as many as you want and can have multiples open.

* My groups were a little messed up

* Audio chats with up to 9 people. New icon to show who can do multiple audio chats

* Had to delete the AdobePDFViewer.plugin in /Library/Internet Plug-Ins

* Sites are not added to history, AutoFill info is not saved, Google search box terms are not saved.

* Reset or empty Safari cache from the Safari menu

* Turn on contextual menu Open Dictionary in Panel in preferences.
