Rumors are pointing to an October 13th date for Apple’s iPhone 12 event
We’re expecting Apple to announce 4 models in 3 different sizes
The 5.4-inch iPhone 12 mini
The 6.1-inch iPhone 12
The 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro and the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max
The iPhone mini is expected to be offered in storage sizes of 64, 128, and 256GB
The other iPhone 12 models will start at 128GB
Reports that Apple has the main Foxconn factory in China running 24 hours a day to produce the iPhone 12
Employees are also being asked to cancel upcoming holidays and are being offered bonuses for working longer hours
It’s believed that the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 models will be available in October, but the Pro models will be shipping sometime in November
More mini-LED reports
DigiTimes claims Apple will deliver a 12.9-inch mini LED backlit iPad Pro in early 2021
They also say a mini LED MacBook will ship in the second half of 2021
They say each iPad will contain over 10,000 mini LEDs supplied by Epistar and that Apple is recruiting Osram Opto as an additional supplier for the MacBook LEDs
Ming-Chi Kuo has also mention that a mini-LED 16-inch MacBook Pro could see a late 2020 release, though to me this seems unlikely
Taiwanese research firm TrendForce has claimed that suppliers would not start competing for mini-LED manufacturing orders for 16-inch or 14-inch MacBook Pros until the first quarter of 2021
Apple TV app coming to consoles
According to Windows Central Apple and Microsoft are working together to bring the Apple TV app to XBox
Right now it looks like it is available to a limited number of testers
The app will function just like the Apple TV or the app found on smart TVs, but will work with the XBox controller as a remote
There are additional reports that Apple is also working with Sony to bring their TV app to Playstation consoles as well
The source for 9to5 Mac also says that they are trying to get HomeKit support in the TV app on Playstation consoles though that feature might come later
There are no details on when the app will make it to the consoles nor were there details on if only newer models would be getting the app or if it would be available to older consoles as well.
YouTube seems to be slowly rolling out 4K video support to Apple TV users running tvOS 14, but with limits
Only supporting up to 30fps
Also doesn’t support HDR for now
YouTube did bring back PIP support for videos played in Safari via the web on iOS
Rumors that Apple is putting “big money” into Apple Arcade and might be looking to have console level titles
Coming from Apple Twitter leaker “fudge”
Says that Apple wants titles that will rival “Breath of the Wild”
Indicates Apple is working on at least two new Apple TV updates
A new A12X/Z Apple TV model
A future 'A14X-like' TV model
Says some games would require at least an A13 bionic, so that console level experience may be reserved for when and if Apple releases the A14 based Apple TV
Also mentions that a new controller is also in development. Unclear if that means a new Siri remote or an actual Apple game controller
"Billie Eilish: The World's A Little Blurry" documentary will premiere in theaters and Apple TV+ in February 2021
Apple has signed up to bring a new musical comedy series to Apple TV+ from SNLs Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video

In the series a couple on a backpacking trip through Europe stumbles upon the magical town of Schmigadoon, where everyone acts as if they're in a studio musical from the 1940s.
