Apple Watch Series 7 Features
*
New report from Bloomberg
*
Thinner display bezels, faster processor, and updated ultra-wideband functionality.
*
They also claim this years Apple Watch will have a new display lamination technique that will bring it even closer to the surface
*
Not in the Bloomberg report, but some rumors have also claimed the Apple Watch could get a slight case redesign with flatter edges making it more closely resemble the designs in the current iPhones and iPad Air
V
They say many of the rumored health features are likely coming in future versions of the Apple Watch
*
A body temperature sensor that had been rumored for this years model looks like it’s being pushed to 2022
*
And the glucose monitor they say is likely “several years” off still.
*
They also claim that Apple might be looking to introduce a ruggedized “extreme” sports version also sometime in 2022

Cooked M1 iMacs
*
Probably not what you want to hear about or see if you’ve just bought a shiny new M1 iMac
*
A YouTuber, iPhonedo, posted a video showing that his new iMac came with a non-level display
*
It was 1mm lower on one side vs the other.
V
It mounts with 7 screws inside the display, so not something that could be easily fixed.
*
I actually wonder if it’s a case of some of the screws not being fully tightened or loosening during shipment?

Free AppleTV+ trial period shortening
*
Apple has to date been giving customers who purchase a new iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch a free one year trial of Apple TV+
*
In fact they have even been extending that free trial for many.
*
In now appears that the offer of 1 year is ending on July 1st and being replaced with a 3 month free trial
*
While this ends up matching some of Apple’s other service trials, like Apple Arcade and Apple Fitness+, I’m a little curious why Apple is making this change now.
V
Could be that their catalog is expanding and many of their popular shows are starting their second seasons.
*
This includes Ted Lasso
*
Still… is it the best idea?

Business Movers: The Enlightenment of Steve Jobs
*
From the iPhone to Pixar, Steve Jobs led a career full of groundbreaking innovation. But his road to Silicon Valley success was a rocky one, filled with failure and burned bridges. From Wondery, on the new season of Business Movers, learn how Jobs took Apple from near disaster to total triumph.
*
Steve Jobs liked to say a computer is “a bicycle for our minds.” He saw how bikes elevated our minds and bodies, and he thought computers could do the same for the brain.
*
Jobs had a knack for seeing the big picture – that a computer- animated film like Toy Story could be the future of movies. Or that a phone in our pockets could give us a universe of information at our fingertips.
*
From the makers of the hit series Business Wars comes the new season of Business Movers – a weekly podcast that explores the legendary and controversial career of Steve Jobs.
*
One thing I really like about the Business Movers podcastr is their use of storytelling mixed with dramatizations it makes it really fun to listen to.
V
I also really enjoy the fact that these Steve Jobs episodes are delving into his full career inside and outside of Apple. So often the focus is just on Apple.
*
We get to learn more about Steve’s relationships with other key figures who helped his career and vision along the way.
*
Listen to Business Movers: The Enlightenment of Steve Jobs on Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, or you can listen one week early and ad-free by joining Wondery Plus in the Wondery app.
