Sorry its been a while since i posted, ive been listening though, first napster: i think its a bad idea just cause yeah you can re-record it but that would take forever to do all of the files that you download and then tag. so i think that its pretty pointless. The additional gb i think its also pointless. personally i have a 15 however i dont see the difference of a gb.

ps take as long as you want for the podcast

I also agree that the show could be a bit longer but it is great, my first time listening – I hear about i from Todd at Geek News Central.

About the Mac Mini vs. eMAc:

I am a PC user but love Macs and am buying my mini when Tiger comes out (I don’t want to deal with upgrading so I would rather wait until it is pre-installed) and if the person you mentioned already has a PC and is a PC user then he should get the mini and buy a KVM switch, he can still use his old keyboard, mouse, and monitor… I want a Mac keyboard and mouse but a windows one will work. And if he wants to get a new LCD monitory why not get a really nice one that can be used on both his PC and mini… the mini makes way more sense and that was the purpose of it, so you can still use your PC or use PC components.

    Just my .02

I prefer a two-button mouse and the Apple keyboard. Apple’s keyboard is so, so nice. Don’t use a Mac without it!

    Hi, great show.
Regarding eMac vs mini: I just recently switched from a PC to an eMac. The announcement of the mini is what got me interested, but in the end I chose the eMac because of the lack of clutter, and the full-sized hard drive. I don’t know the speed of the eMac drive but I suspect that it is faster than on the mini.
An unexpected bonus of switching to the eMac. I cannot hear the hard drive working at all! Psychologically, it’s terrific. Might as well be solid state.

eMac vs mac mini .. a few thoughts. i run a rather large mac install. the latest emacs (all-in-one) have been plagued with problems, mainly video and motherboard. quality control may have improved over the past year but i simply don’t like having a monitor built-in. i agree about the quiet. also if you want to upgrade the hard drive in an emac … good luck. i gave up and turned it over to my tech. he was cussing all the way :)

mac mini, although i haven’t played with, seems great for the pc user. i caution you on a switch box when using an LCD monitor. a good DVI switch box costs around $700. i am sure they will go down as ppl move to the mac mini. a standard switcher for regular CRT is $99. iogear has one that allows keyboard switch key with shared monitor, keyboard, mouse, and audio. big wow.
