I’m a homeschooler, and I was able to get the educational discount as a high schooler from the Apple Store for education (online) when buying a Powerbook about a year ago.

In my experience you can get the educational discount but you are actually lying. They do not check your ID or anything online.

Of course when i got all of my software from academicsuperstore.com i had to fax them my school ID but all the companies i was getting software from (Microsoft, Adobe, Webroot, Macromedia, etc) accepted high school students
