Apple ordering large quantities of flash memory AND offering free Nanos for back-to-school days definitely gives the impression that all-new Nanos are coming soon. I wonder if the new Nanos will have a modified design or additional features.

Is it also possible that Apple could be designing a Flash-based 20-30GB iPod? that’d be awesome!

Re: browsers: I use Firefox and Safari and find that those two give me all the features I need. My wife swears by Camino.

  2. Excellent reference to seatguru.com. I knew about the site but did not know it had the power info. Thanks John! I am going to go look right now to see if I can use my PowerBook on my long flight to Tanzania that is coming up.

Apple is not offering free nanos exactly. They are offering up to $179 back on a qualifying iPod (all are listed, including shuffles except U2 version). That’s not the same as nanos only in order to clear inventory. But that won’t stop people from predicting new iPod nanos coming! Sometime…in the future.

I heard the band (Black Lab) you featured at the end of this podcast and enjoyed it SO much, I ended up buying their entire CD collection. It’s now one of my most favourite bands thus far! Keep up the great work in featuring worthy bands like this who probably don’t get a lot of commercial radio play.
