    Adam, I don’t understand how you can work a day job, produce the Maccast, AND have time to do an Erase and Install every two years. Regarding the three options of which you spoke, I just run a backup, and then use Plain Old Upgrade. I’ve done this for every Mac OS X “dot” release since I migrated from OS 9 to 10.2. That Erase and Install thing is the way they like to spend their weekends over on the Dark Side, man. I’ve had the same Home Folder since 2001. No reinstalling apps, license keys, resetting prefs. I come back two hours later and almost everything “just works”. Over the next couple days, I fix up the few things that didn’t.

    Maybe it’s because you’re younger than me and have more time. I’m 53. When I die, either they’re going to bury my hard drive with me, or more likely, erase the damned thing, once and for all, and dispose of it responsibly. Either way, I’ll be resting in peace!

    I’m checking out the SizeUp app that you mentioned.

    Hi Adam.

    I just would like to mention how awesome your show is! Yesterday, driving home, back from my master degree class, I was listening to it on my iPod, oh boy, gotta tell you: I loved the whole thing! Keep up with the great job, your Brazilian friends appreciate.

    Take care.

    Why the Macbook’s price is higher than the Windows and Linux? If they could reduce the price, there would be more people using Mac. – Simon

    I’m with Jerry, even though I’m a year younger! I’ll be checking out VideoMonkey. I’m a regular listener and get lots of good tips from the show.

    @Simon
    Because Mac’s are made in smaller quantities than PCs.. it comes down to economies of scale. Smaller quantity, more expensive.

    I didn’t know China didn’t have the iPhone yet! I bet someone over their is making a killing importing them! – Alex
