Car Play Comment: I have a 2015 Honda CRV EX-L that has a Car Play implementation, although it is somewhat buried under a Honda user interface. I love the full Siri and phone integration. This functionality is accessed via Bluetooth. Access to apps or playing video requires a $100 Honda cable (Lightning to both HDMI and USB connectors). There are 2 USB and one HDMI socket in the center console. I have not purchased the cable so can’t say much about the viability of those functions. One issue I have noticed with the system; it does not reliably display track information for podcasts (track info for music seems to always work). Occasionally it does display, but usually not. Haven’t found a setting or method to fix this. My suspicion it that the problem is with the iPhone 6’s Bluetooth transmitting the podcast track info.
Update on Car Play: Connected my iPhone with a USB cable and the track info for podcast displays every time. In fact, the album art even appears on the HondaLink screen. The issue mentioned above must be related to Bluetooth somehow.
I was looking into the Drobo deal. On the Drobo website, In the question and answers section, I noticed an “End of Life” announcement. It says no more support for the Gen 2 Drobo which was last sold in Nov 2012. Does that mean if Apple introduces an OS major/minor update that happens to break file sharing some how, that Drobo wont provide a fix? (2 years seems short)

Found out that the Drobo discount code does not work on the European store…
Glen, thanks fro the heads up. I would email Drobo support and ask that question directly.
Tim, let me ask and see if I can get the code extended to the UK.
