I was just listening to this episode, and was quite surprised to once again hear two Mac users knock the launchpad feature! I had heard this before with the argument that it’s easier to just launch Spotlight and open apps that way. I have tried to work Spotlight into my workflow, but always eventually forget to keep using it. I guess I’m more of a visual person, and having to type even a couple letters bogs down my flow. Since I can’t get the hang of Spotlight, the only other alternative is the Applications folder in Finder, which seems totally archaic to me!
Maybe I’m alone, but I love having the grid in launchpad with all of my apps in the logical order I’ve placed them. To me it’s kind of like an expanded dock.
Peter,
I think I even mentioned in the show that I know there are some folks who use, and love, the Launchpad feature. Obviously you’re in that group and that’s awesome. That said, the vast majority of Mac users I’ve talked to about the feature tell me they don’t use it.
Can you list the “best” iPad drawing apps that both you and Scott liked? Thanks!
Similar to Roy, I came here to look for the list of games you discussed … particularly the one that Scott couldn’t recall about Zombies….
