Just listened to the latest episode, always enjoy the podcast, have listened since the 1990s.
Nick’s comments on why you should upgrade your Macs every two years is spot on if you
use your Mac or whatever for your business and work on it everyday for hours at a time.
Absolutely you want to have the most recent best machines. For those of us who do not it is completely elitist to suggest such a strategy. Unless you are flush with cash, upgrading your hardware should be a matter of desire and need. Typing now on my Macbook bought in 2008 from Apple refurbished. Running Yosemite, have had to replaced nothing on it. Upstairs I have a top of the line 24 inch iMac, bought in 2007, replace the graphics card and optical drive $350. it’s running El Capitan without a hitch. I also own a iPad 2, I use it everyday when I drive for Uber. Now my wife does have a year old Mac Mini and we all have iPhones 6s’s but come on…
