A podcast about all things Macintosh. For Mac geeks, by Mac geeks. Episode 575. A special episode of the Maccast. I got a chance to sit down and chat with Brian Roemmele. You may have caught his recent piece on Apple and VocalIQ on Medium. Brian is the creator of the Apple Pay discoverability app PayFinders and an “endless student” with an immense knowledge of voice and payment systems. I asked Brian about his thought on Apple’s recent Siri and Apple Pay announcements from WWDC and we talked about the future of voice, payment, and AI technologies in general.

    Hi Adam,

Been listening since I moved from San Luis Obispo to Raglan, New Zealand, about 10 years ago. I’ve never written in before, but I was inspired to after hearing this episode with Brian Roemmele. I found the topic to be fascinating and thought you did a great job interviewing him too. The only topic I wish had come up and didn’t, was Samsung Pay and how it stacks up.

Great job, and thanks again for helping keep me informed for all these years. Hope you get well soon and please have Brian on the show again one day.

    -Tim

Wow, what an amazingly smart guy! All of his comments on payment methods and voice integration really opened up my eyes to the future. Adam, please have him back on your show again for more insight into the upcoming changes to IOS and Siri. His insights were invaluable!

That was a really amazing interview! This has been one of my favourite episodes. Brian was insightful and had refreshing thoughts to share while you moved the interview along perfectly. Would love future interviews with Brian.
