Adam, I agree with you in your opinion about apple prices policy, and I am in Brasil, the most expensive place to buy or to maintain an apple product. Enough to say that I still use my Ipad first generation, my Imac 20″ is early 2008 and an Iphone 6S that serves me well. I just got an Macbook pro 13 , 2016. Never was cheap to be an “apple owner” (love that expression.) but that is the same for Ferraris. The value added to this machines is great. A ten year Imac is doing a perfectly acceptable job to my needs as an civil engineer. My biggest complaint is about all the new versions of OS that requires lots of fixes to run the older softwares, some of them went out of the market but they are still pretty useful, but don’t work with the new os. :-(
I’m stuck on Yosemite in a perfect functioning Imac.
Sorry for the long comment. Love your podcast!

One more thing. :-) I had to abandon apple watch. One month after my applecare expired, the battery swallow and ripped out the screen. One of the saddest days of my life. I went to the apple authorised dealer here in my state and they asked me $500 to replace it. No more apple watch for me. It was a life changing device, amazing in all senses, but you have to buy one every one or two years. Apple should do something about it, it’s a matter of public health!!!!! I’m kind of joking, but it really is something everyone should be able to have. After just one year I was so used to it. I subscribed all health apps, share my data with all medical studies and then boom!!! Ok, thank you for let me say it.
