I know, where’s the show? Saturday.

I usually like to get at least two shows done a week, so I am sorry you haven’t had a new MacCast since the 10th. I have been dealing with holiday craziness along with a busted hot water heater. I am also just barely keeping a cold at bay, so I have been trying to get more sleep (which for me means getting in bed before 1 Am, ha). I should have a BIG show out Saturday so be watching your feed.

I was sort of wanting a podcast to listen to on my way to school today, but it’s fine if you can’t get the show out :)

    I look forwards to Saturday’s show… :D

    take your time adam.

I disagree with: “show for mac geeks, by mac geeks’

I can use macs with ease. that’s the point – i am not a geek, well according to the geeks i have met at uni

i can just use os 10 without really thinking.

I am also from the same city as jonathan ive (newcastle in england)

i wonder if intel are going to give apple massive bulk discounts for chips (like samsung did with flash memory for the ipod nano)

Take your time Adam… you are not feeling well. Your legions on the forums will keep it going. Good luck with the water heater, they are a pain!

Everyone who thinks Adam should take some time off between Christmas Eve, and New Years Day – Post here and say so.

I say we give him a vacation from the MacCast! He deserves it, don’t you think?

Post or email him to let him know :-)

Probably not. Apple was a very large buyer for Samsung, but not so much for Intel – Intel is the largest chipmaker in the world. I doubt they’ll get too much nicer of a discount than the other buyers.

    To Adam:

Don’t worry man! Take your time, have a little fun, and good luck with that hot water heater! Take a few herbal supplements to help with the cold (no, not the traditional Californian supplement hahahaha!).

I agree about the “by mac geeks, for mac geeks” part. The MacCast audience is growing, and I think we can move to “by mac phreaks, for mac phreaks”

Did he also go to Middlesborough University? Or am I wrong?

Hey, Adam, I’ve just managed to get rid of my cold, I hope you don’t get one :S!

Don’t feel bad Adam, My podcast didn’t get released today either. I had a company party last night and got home way too late to record. Stuff happens.

    Charles,
I appreciate the offer, but I love doing the show, so I really don’t want a break. Occasionally I just need a little more time and you are always generous and no one bothers me about it and I appreciate that. So thank you for the support.

That’s the beauty of Podcasts, I’ll get it when you post it. Seems like all the podcasts are down a bit, Christmas and all.

I’ll take ’em when you post ’em.

    Thanks

wilf, I think he went to Northumbria Uni (Northumbria – the ex poly at Newcastle)

now that ives isn’t limited by the heat issues from the powerpc chip he can do some awesome designs for laptops

..and they’ve been headhunting sony vaio engineers (rumour or fact?) so their laptops are going to be like…wow.

all we need now is that sony XBLACK screen cos it kicks ass

    joshua – very good point.

Hey Adam – I’ve started watching Channel 5’s Gadget Show after they did their little recommendation for the MacCast.

It’s actually a really good show. Very good show.

I think we all share an admiration for the way Apple do things. I guess we fully understand how macs work and we just know that if the masses realised this they would just embrace apple/macs.

Now that the intel thing is happened i truly believe apple can overcome the pricing obstacle and be competitive (not to mention the heat thing for laptops)

Adam, you come across as a really genuine bloke (sorry.. forgot.. that’s english slang for guy) who thinks on the exact same level as me. You enjoy doing the show.. I enjoy listening to it. I really like the listener tips you play (from your voicemail)

I think you should end every show by reminding people to vote on podcast alley (whatever that is – I don’t know but I vote anyway). I’m a student.. feel a bit bad cos I can’t contribute financially , but I try to.

one last thing.. i wouldn’t be surprised if apple try to remove the maccast from itunes at some point…

think about it .. you discuss thinksecret stuff… what if apple’s pr people decide they don’t want the masses listening to it..

No problem Adam, take you time, I just got sick and it’s killin me so no worries, we understand!

    Hey Adam,
Take your time, all the time you want.
Take a break, if you want, until MWSF06.
Hell, just quit the MacCast if you want!

jaja, j/k, I know you love doing the show, and of course we love listening to it so don’t quit!
What I’m trying to say is: You don’t have to be sorry for anything, it’s your show, do what you want. Most of us don’t pay you or anything. I love our show and value it and your effort.

BTW, we all know that podcasters are humans too, so if you feel bad or need to sleep or w/e just do it, we won’t get mad.
