Very informative website. I personally just learned about the keychain program about 2 weeks ago. That was the perfect music ending to the podcast. Happy 4th and thanks for a great show.

    Adam,

Thanks for the review on the Squeezebox. That’s something I’ve really been looking for, although it seems to cost a bit much. I’m really starting to see where buying so much music from iTunes (over 500 tracks) can be a problem. I can’t imagine having to burn all that onto CDs and re-rip to be able to (easily) use Squeezebox, or a non-Apple portable player :-(

Also the info on on keychains was helpful. I’ve known about them for a long time, but didn’t realize they had so may other features.

There’s a much easier way to make sure you have the latest Intel version. To check to see if you have the latest 10.4.7 Intel update, go to System Profiler, click on “Software”. If your System Version is 8J2135a then you have the latest version. If your System Version is 8J2135, then you need to download the new update from Apple’s website.

CodeWeaver – very cool. I’m not sure, but by running Windows’ APIs there may be legal issues. I’m no lawyer but aren’t APIs and how they work or function copyright to the developer…unless they are reverse engineered. Not Sure, what do you think?

At one time, some reports back in the Rhapsody days, there was a Yellow Box, Blue Box and a rumored Red Box. The Red Box was an environment in the OS that contained all the windows APIs.

It looks like the rumor is finally coming true. OS nirvana seems to be getting closer day by day, hopefully Steve Jobs will present this at the WWDC. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Running Windows apps without windows will be very cool indeed.

I agree, all macs should come with a 1GB of RAM. Hey they could make more money if that’s an issue cause they would buy RAM in bulk!

Squeezebox is beautiful! Wish I had one! Gotta get one!

How does Roku compare to SqueezeBox?

Adam I feel like a hog but I have to leave this warning, please back up your keychain before you do ANYTHING in keychain access. I followed your instructions to the T and the info was absolutely awesome BUT I started messing around and really messed things up. Thank God I have a backup to restore to.
