Buzz Out LoudA podcast about all things Macintosh. For Mac geeks, by Mac geeks. Special edition of the MacCast. I was lucky enough to secure an interview with c|net’s podcast diva Veronica Belmont. She took time from her busy schedule to talk with us about her recent nomination by Maccast listeners to become the successor to Justin Long as the next “Mac Guy”. In addition, we discuss her passion for Macs, gadgets, technology and gaming. I ask her how she got into all this tech stuff any way, and we talk in general about women in technology. Of course we finish it up by taking a look inside Veronica’s Applications folder and pull out some of her essential Mac apps. I also asked her about what she has going on in the new year. It was a great interview and I want to thank Veronica for agreeing to come on.

Happy Holidays and enjoy the show.

Good episode. Veronica has always seemed like a nice girl and I love listening to BOL when I don’t fall too far behind.

Great interview Adam. I’m a faithful BOL listener too, and enjoy listening to Veronica’s Mac commentary.

I especially enjoy the application recommendations.

Agree with previous comments. Good show. Must say, wasn’t at all familiar with Veronica or her casts, but very impressed.

And guess it’s true, as you mentioned, most of your audience appears to be male.

It’s always great to hear from the female techno-geek side! And I’ll be checking out her C-net ‘casts.

Great interview! I just love listening to your show and BOL (which I found out about after the tragic death of James Kim). I love the format on BOL. I was not aware of the other casts that Veronica is involved in. I will definitely check them out.

And I’m looking forward to your MacWorld casts as I cannot be there.

hey veronica, listen to you show weekly. adam, the mac commercial could evolve into something where the pc guy on the commercial could become a switcher & they could get a new pc guy that he helps in a different way then the mac guy did (you know since he’s a switcher & mac guy apparently was always a mac guy). on occasion, bring back the mac guy in the commercials to reinforce the whole mac community feel & how it’s growing. & keep doing the switching & it could be a new outlet for funny nerdy looking funny actors that can show their dual personality as an actor & keep bringing mac guy & the older switchers back on kameo’s. this would be a graceful way of allowing people to leave the commercial without getting lambasted by mac haters. anyway, just a thought.

Wow , I wish I there , but with my luck so far I don’t think opportunities like these wont be happening to me for the foreseeable future.

I guess for now I’ll just read stories about experiences from others and try to experiences with them, thanks for sharing.^^
