A podcast about all things Macintosh. For Mac geeks, by Mac geeks. Episode 187. I’ve been thinking about the Apple Watch. Maybe too much. The reviews are out and I’ve read them all. I’ve also tried on and played with the Apple Watch now and have my own observations, comments, and questions. So, it is worth all the hype and obsession and who is this thing for?

Dear Adam, thank you for the wonderful podcasts you publish week after week.

After installing the latest Yosemite update I noticed that using Photos, would use a lot of resources. The fan was spinning fast 4,800rpm, the CPU temperature was 102 C. so I opened up the activity monitor, and I saw that Photos was using 253% CPU. Is it possible? How can it be more then 100%? It also read, CPU time 2:13:37 and 23 threads.

Has anybody had a similar experience?

I have a 13″ Macbook Air 8GB, 512GB, 2.0 i7 and it has been a very fast machine (for my basic use).

    Thank you!
    Marco
