Hey, there’s a small change to the intro!
Instead of ‘Hey Mac Geeks, it’s time for the maccast’
Now it’s ‘Hey mac geeks, its time for your maccast’

To any one who is trying to download the song ‘Bad Love Life’, I have had a few issues with iCompositions in that my new version of the song was being overwritten by an older (worse) version of the song.

This has now been rectified and I am currently trying to reupload the song. Thanks for your patience, and feel free to check out my other tunes in the mean time.

Libsyn, where the Maccast .mp3 files are hosted, had another “glitch.” Dunno if they were getting DDOSed but they recovered after a while. The scary thing that all of the Libsyn crew are at the Portable Media Expo.

Another great show, Adam. Thanks. The vidbit was good too, even though I don’t plan to buy an ipod video. Battery life is my main reason, but I also own a PSP that can do more for me. I don’t believe in successful convergence devices, but so far the PSP does more than the ipods I have owned in the past. I hear the Sony cell phones coming out is a better choice compared to the ROKR and its limitations.

In regards to PocketPC’s, I own a HP 4150 and use Pocketmac Pro. It works great and I have never had any issues. I used a Palm for years, but my last model Tungsten E was horrible on both mac and windows. I decided to try the PocketPC, and after a year of usage, I’m happy to say that it just works great.

I got the MacCast fine. The other day though, the LibSyn server didn’t even exist. All of the podcasts i wanted to update were not in existance. The MacCast website existed but the podcast didn’t

Heh, I sent in that question in regards to the PocketPC. Adam said “sister” when referring to my girlfriend. Ahh well, no biggy (though she got a laugh out of it!) I’m just thankful the question got asked (Thanks Adam!).

Thanks for the heads up jon from vancouver, I appreciate any help I can find. I sent in the question because I’ve read many really mixed reviews of both Missing Sync and PocketMac Pro but many of those posts were found via Google and may have referenced ealier versions of the software.

She has a Dell Axim x50v and a new 15″ PowerBook running 10.4.3. Anyone have experience with this model Axim and the PowerBook with either program?

If anyone is still trying to get my song, there are still issues at iCompositions. You can pick it up at http://music.podshow.com also.

I have finally got Bad Love Life uploaded to iCompositions, you can get it at http://www.icompositions.com/artists/djtopshelf

    Sorry for all the hassle.

Hi Adam… I’m a recent switcher (July 2005, to be exact) to Mac from Windows PC. I’ve been listening to your show through iTunes since August. I bought Missing Sync for Windows Mobile to sync my Toshiba e400 Pocket PC with my 12″ iBook. Generally, I am satisfied with the syncing capabilities of Missing Sync. The only complaints that I have are that, a) I cannot sync my Entourage mailbox with my Pocket PC and b) I cannot sync with both my Entourage calendar and my iCal without duplicating events and tasks. I thought that I would be high and dry with Windows-specific peripherals, such as my Pocket PC. Fortunately, I discovered Missing Sync. Now, I am able to use AvantGo and transfer MS Word files between my Toshiba Pocket PC and iBook. :)

I’m a new MAC convert and new listener. I love my PowerBook G$ and your program. I have a PowerBook G4. Is Safari Enhancer a feature within Safari 2.0.2 or a separate program?

    Hello Adam,

Regarding syncing to Pocket PC, I tried Missing Sync because there was a link from Apple’s website. I had a terrible experience, beside the problem that the software couldn’t recognize my Dell device, the worst is that the company does not really provide any support. They only have an answering machine where you can leave a message and wait for them to email you back – they don’t actually call you back. So I would strongly recommend avoiding the Missing Sync. I didn’t have a chance to try PocketMac, but have a friend who uses PocketMac with Tiger and HP device. I’ll give that a try and report back.

    Cheers.

    Steve
